How long will a 7x2x2 last a black aro? Bought at 3"?

Back in the 80s before I had internet so had no way of finding out what was right or wrong
I kept a black aro in a 6x2x2 for 7 years I know it was wrong now but it seemed happy

I can't see a black aro growing past 2ft in 12 months I would say a 7x2 will be got for 2 years12-18 months...longer if you don't tell anyone on this site! Lol
