Hey I was wondering if u could help me out
Over the past 2 years I have tryed to grow jungle val in my all male tank two times
No good results I'm giving it one more shot. The last time I tryed I used seachem flurish root tab and had the rubber anchors that go around the roots holding them down. I just ordered some seachem flurish liquid ferts but the thing is I have read that it can cause a lot of algae think if I dosed once every week or two would be fine. Nother thing I think I killed my plants last time because I moved the quite often and someone told me that the way I add my water may have helped kill them. I add tap water then add the declorine in after
Hope u can help thanks
O something else I'm gonna gonna be growing like 7 jungle vals
And it's in a 75g all male tank running a 3ft 4 bulb t5ho fixture with 2x older 10k and 1x 6700k and 1x blue

Well, you may have some struggles as well because african cichlids tend to tear up plants and their digging habits messes with their roots for attachment.

The other issue is the alkaline water, a lot of plants can't handle that.

As far as what you mentioned, unfortunately I can't help.
