Anyone ever have any luck with live plants in a tank with any of these fish? 1 black aro, 6 discus, 2 tapajos and a hystrix. Is there any live plant that may work?

The discus wouldnt but the geos might and the ray probably "bulldozes" all of the plants :D

My group of red heads haven't touched anubias, bananas and willow hygros. I just put in Italian vals and they seem to leave that alone so far. They've uprooted and eaten the roots of water sprite, wisteria, swords and a few others. I place rocks they cant move around the plants and that seems to help. The discus shouldn't bother your plants.

yah, I think rays are the only thing that wouldn't work at all. Geos can surprisingly work but, it takes a little experimenting to see what plants they do and don't accidentally up root. For instance, I wouldn't do dwarf baby tears with geos, but maybe glosso or hairgrass as those get some nice roots...but if I did plants like that, I'd let the plants grow in first before adding the fish.
