Spotted gar wont eat

Ive recently bought a spotted gar but it hasn't been eating for weeks, ive tried feeding it everything too( pellets, feeders, tilapia, worms)

I'm sure he means huejta/rocket gar, lfs often call them spotted gars because of the spot on their tail that mocks its eye.

If so they are very hard to get off live feeders, buy a couple dozen ghost shrimp and a dozen or so guppies, make sure temp is 78-80°. I'm assuming your tank is cycled and nitrates are low and you don't have any incompatible fish with it that could be causing stress.

Ok lets just say someone hypothetically has a real spotted gar and it doesnt eat anything what should he/she do, the tank is cycled and nitrates and ph are fine, and no other fish is causing it stress

Gars will sometimes go a while without eating. After you get them they usually go a few days or a few weeks. They will begin eating again unless its sick in which case its best if it dies (natural selection)
