I am planning a weekend trip ti a local lake to see if I can find some driftwood for my 125g CA/SA cichlid tank. What preparations or treatments of the wood are necessary before placing in the tank?

I boiled my pieces with salt for about 40 minutes. I've heard other people bake their small pieces in the oven..

I wouldn't bleach, if it soaks into the driftwood it would leach back into your tank.

If have patience I think sun dry is the best / safest. Or a lot of stores use a pressure washer.

I figured I would boil any smaller pieces I collect. I only have so big of a pot. Beyond that, I figured power washing would be better than nothing on the larger pieces. Thx for the ideas.
