Hey, I have all of my timber ready to build my stand and was wondering about it's rating. I have mgp10 (machine graded pine) as it was the only thing my local hardware (bunnings) stocks.
The stand is going to be over engineered but I would like to hear what someone who knows a thing about this has to say... Thanks

A single upright 2x4 can support 800 lbs. If that helps

Would that not be effected by the timbers rating?

That's your average home depot $2 8 ft 2x4. I'm guessing the timber your rendering To will most likely be stronger

lol good thing I used 40 ft worth of vertical support with the aforementioned home depot white pine 2x4, on a 120g stand. I overdid it a little bit lol....
