Fader flowerhorn lips turning black

He's acting normal and eating like a pig but noticed that his lips were Turning black. Is this normal or a problem. Was just moved to a new tank so could it be a little stress. Water quality is good and do weekly 40% water changes and gravel cleaning.

Red devils and other hybrids like blood parrots get black spots from time to time, sometimes they stay, and sometimes they go. It is likely normal, and if he is acting normally I wouldn't really worry about it.

Thanks. Black area is now from lips to between eyes. Figured since he was acting normal it was probably something harmless like you mentioned. My blood parrots do it once in a while also.
