Hello all, Was just wondering if anyone knows the best way to protect a stand from saltwater ( rust )? I see a lot of saltwater tanks on steel stands and no mention of what they plan to do for rust? in the past all my stands started to rust when they had SW despite coating in fish oil.
I am moving my 8.5x3 to separate my fish room in half and was thinking a saltwater tank would be much more pleasing but I dont wish to risk rusting out the stand within a few months nor changing it.
I was thinking a few thick coats of oil based maybe a good start? but unsure where to go from that point?
