either way he appears to be ready. watch the top screen they will rip there toe nail/toes off.

He's already in a 4' tall enclosure now. He was only in there until he was quarantined and eating.

Hope your 4' tall encloser, doesn't have an open screen top.

Nope. It's just not fine mesh like that. It still keeps him in but he can't get nails or toes stuck in it.

I don't recommend ANY kind of mesh / screen. It will cause some damage, most likely.

So, he was not eating before you got him ? Poor guy.

Sounds like a fine enclosure and he looks fine in the photo (healthy tail girth etc). Believe me when I say that this lizard is better off than 99.9% of the other iguanas that are sold.
