Does anybody know how to cure this? The fins are red and the gill is black, I believe the gill is supposed to be red for a healthy fish. Redtail lost appetite and usually the body is red, too.
I have lost many fishes because of this disease. The outbreak has been happening for the last 6 months. I lost 3 of my 90cm redtails and countless koi because of this disease.
Anybody know what kind of disease? Is it bacteria? Thanks.

Please post water perameters. Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph and hardness if available. Check water before water change to get better numbers to work with. There are a couple of posibilities both of which should be fairly streight foward to deal with if you post real numbers. What is your maintance schedule like? Filter cleanning, water changes, substraight vacuming etc. What size is the tank and what are the tank mates? Do you have a hospital tank available if necessary?

I don't thing it's nitrate poisoning because I change the water frequently. I suspect it's somekind of bacteria or protozoa.
The redtails die today. damn...
