I acquired an eheim 2217 a couple months ago in a trade. I saw this up and running so I know it was working fine. It sat in my garage for about 2 months. Now that I plan to use it, the lid wont close down enough to clip down the fastners.
Looks like the O-ring on the bottom of the lid is stopping it from sliding down and resting on the base. If I take the O-ring off the lid closes down and the clips close.
Is it possible that the O-ring had expanded some how with lack of use?
