I have 4 jewel cichlids in a 75 gallon with a tt eel im growing out. How can i get the jewels to red up. They range from smallest about 1.5 an largest being almost 3 inches. Ive had them in the past but have never had an issue with them getting red. They are very active any growing nicely. Just cant seem to get the color to show. Im positive I have 1 male an 1 female not sure about the other 2. Any suggestions

I may be wrong, but isn't it true that there are the RED RED varieties of that fish, then a more pale or yellow variety, if memory serves me. And if memory also serves me, is it not only the males that hold that breeding dress color DURING breeding and fry raising times, but not other times (if they are too young etc.)
