Finally.....the Deed was Done

Came home from the market, walked downstairs and found a huge sperm sac sitting in the tank with the water all clouded. Ran to get the camera and when I got back the male marble swam over and ate it........ Waited to see if I could figure out which female had been bred or attempted to be bred. Got this short vid of my female marble from the underside. She obviously was the one. I have a clear day to count from and will see eventually if it took. My male has finally figured it out.................

TBD............Almost certain but not positive, he is the only one I have ever seen trying to breed her over the last year. I have never seen the male blackie even try with the female marble, only the other female blackies. Either way I am just happy to see some action........
Is it common for another ray to eat the sperm sac?

Definitely about time. Marbles are 4.5 yrs old. Males been trying for over a year but didnt know what to do. I guess she had to take charge and show him.

Male blackie was tearing up females last spring, but has backed off since then. Hopefully it will pick up again.
