I have a circulation pump in my 120 and an fx5, was wondering what's the best placement for the pump? I have it near the bottom at the opposite end of the filter intake but am worried about it pushing small bits of sand into the I take, the tank is half sand and the other half is gravel I put the intake at the end with the gravel.what are your thoughts? The pump is a hydor koralia 1150

They're one of those things you just have to play with to find what works best for your set up. I can put one in a spot that works great for me but it would be completely obstructed by decor in your tank.

You will have the sand and gravel mixed before you know it, so don't think that idea will work. I have circ pumps low because I use overflows and sumps. It helps get The poop moving to the filters.
