Most Difficult Fish to breed

Can't really be answered, so many fish that just won't simply breed or is very hard. Clown loach, puffer, some pleco, tons of saltwater fish. too many to list.


But for the Heck of it for common I'm going with clown loaches.

There are lots of fish that have never bred in captivity. Some that literally can't, some that need a tank that is just too huge, some that have a requirement (food, ph, temp, etc.) that we never give them.

I think this is a good time to rephrase the question to; what fish are the most difficult to breed, but have been bred in captivity? (Let's not bother with the farmed fish - since those are basically wild environment situations.)

None of the large cats (over 2ft) have been bred in a private aquarium as far as I know
