My big momma has scared me on a few occasions by turning pale or simply acting funny, but she has turned out to be fine just a short time later. She is pretty much always pregnant other than the few hours after giving birth. Has anyone else noticed similar behavior with their pregnant stingrays?

She may need a break from breeding if you keep her constantly pregnant

She probably won't reach near her life expectancy if she's forced to constantly breed. I use dividers to give them a break after back to back pregnancies. It takes a lot out of them being livebearers.

In the wild they usually only breed once a year from what I've read.

You are fortunate to have a stud male. Mine is a hornball too. Always trying to mate, even pregnant and juvenile females. He spends a few months in isolation from time to time to give the ladies breaks
