I can not be sure, but google: Cherax Destructor, and let me know if some of the pictures look similar, I think there is quite a bit of variation in the species. I am almost certain it is in the Cherax genus. I hope this helps.

On a plus, you might have some Cherax relatives in you neck of the woods, I really can not remember if the genus crosses the Wallace Line.

Thanks for the replies.

I dont think its cherax destructor as they look bulkier and "heavier", if that makes any sense. I certainly am no expert, but their claw structure seems to be different as well. I did a google search and although there are many colour variants, none seem to come close to the one i have.

As far as cherax and crayfish here in the Singapore's wilderness, i have only seen what appears to be Cherax quadricarinatus, and it should be introduced. They are so abundant here.
