hello everyone!
This is my first time posting and my first monster tank. I have had anything from 5 gallon to 150 gallons cichlids and saltwater.
I came across this deal on craigslist yesterday evening. He had no clue what he had! He works for a demolition crew and was working in a restaurant that had closed down. They cut the stand and threw away all the filters and pump but kept the tank. He posted it on craigslist and i just happened to see it right after he posted it. Called him and drove 2.5 hours to pick it up. When i arrived it was sitting out side and my mouth dropped as soon as i saw it. ITs 8 feet long 3 feet deep and 4 feet tall. It is massive! we used a fork lift to get it loaded in the trailer its so heavy. Its glass an inch thick and has metal bracing around the top and bottom . The seals look good but will not know till i get in it and clean it up and do a test fill. This will be a slow project probably over a year to get done. I want to make sure i do it right and make it perfect. i will try to get more pics up later. It was midnight when i got home last night and its still loaded in the trailer. Please post your ideas or advise anything will be helpful.
I forgot to mention i only paid 300$ for the tank.
