Love the idea of fluidized bed filters heard they can process lots of waste depending on the sand they can buffer ph and face it they look cool
My question is...
I want to use a gravity fed one on my tank now how would I go about doing water changes when the water stops flowing for that hour or so? Do I add a air pump and bubbler wand turn that on when the water stops? I know if it's shut down for a while the sand compacts bacteria dies and can start a re cycle so any tips?
