Diy 3d background

So in my vast search for the perfect tank I started thinking about doing a 3D background in my tank I'd buy some styrofoam of different sizes make cool shapes, caves , ledges id cover it with cement maybe add some coloring sounds great but I have an acrylic tank so how in the world do I stick the pcs of foam to the acrylic to keep it from floating away?

Ahh just read your diy thing on your background

I was planning on siliconing one chunk at a time to build it then covering it in cement so I'll build it in the tank

Yeah I figure I could cut and shape the pcs outside or something but the building would have to be in the tank I guess my real question is can I silicon styrofoam to acrylic
