Hey guys!

So i have a 90g that im thinking of resetting. The only i will have in it is a 13" oscar iv had for 2 years. Im wondering what kind of fish could i add? I want to avoid cichlids, maybe a catfish cuz cats are cute? Any ideas?

In terms of the tank setup its a reg 90 g 48/18/22. I have an AC110+70 and ATI 5 sponge filter.

That's a big fish and not a big tank, whatever you add will need to be on the small side. Maybe some giant danios?

The recommended size has increased regularly over the years from 55, 75, to 90 on average lol. I remember 55 used to be the recommended, that idea is now sacrilege :p

you can keep an oscar in a 90 just fine, but just the oscar, any small fish you put in are snacks. any thing larger a heavy bio load. tank over stock.

that being said think a rubber mouth plec be fine, adult size. or a an adult banded/clown plec.

Really? Gz i had an oscar, wolffish, and red spot severum in it before and people said i wasnt overstocked....hmm i might have to rethink this then. What would a cool non cichlid pred option be with no oscar then?

could make it a schooler tank, should have no probs throwing in 5 gourami, 8 or so barbs , 12 or so tetras few cardinals , some Buenos aires, few beta, perhaps a ghost knife , rubber liped pleco. just described my wife's 75g, always something happening and all water collems (sp) covered.
