Stocking suggestions? PFS?

I just purchased a 55 gallon aquarium and would like any stocking suggestions?
I can always sell the fish when they growout of the tank but would like to see what you guys think I should stock it with.

I will be putting pool filter sand and would like to know what you think of that also?

Is Pool Filter Sand a good alternative or not cause I want to get sand but its really expensive?

Yes pfs is a good alternative depending on your fish
