Dont share much over here and i figure ive been hiding these guys long enough. 13" male is a captive born marblexmotoro, came from reedmaster, not positive on the parents. 12" female is a wild caught columbian from jojo/nate. Finally got the female off crawlers after about 4 months so its time i show her off.

Nice rays, especially the female. Any signs of breeding behavior, male looks mature.

Nice update on the rays, Yep I agree with you that 300 is starting to look a little small but not horrible, oh well other tanks are availiable just have to keep moving fish around, good looking sump setup as well. Are the rays picking off any of the small fish? Still love the outer rings on that male, really something neat and uncommon.

You know me better than most my friend...ill save pics of the rest of my tanks if/when the flamers start on that topic lol...the wels wont last long in the 450 so they in turn wont be in the 300 much longer either. They snag one of the small fish every once in a while and im more than ok with that. The small fish do an exellent job of cleaning up after the rays and provide a good meal/iodine filled snack when they are eaten. I was a bit disapointed the fem. Got one of my year old bosemani rainbows lol but it was the smallest. The angel has been with them for over 6 months no prob. And my favorite cleaners are probably the 3 filamentosus barbs, but i do count heads every day to see who they got in the night lol...i would continue to throw in something small even to watch swim even if they were all eaten, its very pleasant to view and a dozen giant danios/barbs is a mere $20 so it worth it to me. Havent lost even a rosy barb in a couple weeks now since the fem. Turned on to tilapia (knock on wood lol).

Just some better filtration pics...the first 55gal sump on the right holds 3 8" 200micron socks to flow through before hitting the add on 55 and reactor. Dont plan on keeping the submerged orange bio forever. Its simply there to help cycle the k1 thats only been running 4-5 months.

Thanks you! Male is just now coming to age recently around 2yrs of age and doesnt have much interest yet. Im still debating if the female came in kocked up from the wild or if shes just finally put on some weight in my care. When i recieved her 4 months ago she was all torn up with typical looking breeding marks and a bit thin but im sure it may have just been the fact she was plucked outta the jungle a week prior. High hopes...but im not expecting any singns of breeding for a while, 12" ray is pretty small in my eyes lol...

how much K1 do u run on that sump?

im also planning a 45-60gal sump with ton of K1s.

was thinking 20L for 240gal tank.
I need about 100L total for all the sumps.

Good looking marbles, best advice I can give is get them off the black bottom and onto to something white whether it be sand, fine gravel, or frp panel if you really want them to show their true colors. Black bottoms will kill marbles looks and if left too long will almost loose their pattern completely. I always loved the look of that marble/motoro
