Do you wipe off the inside glass or acrylic of your aquarium?

In most cases, an almost slimy film builds up on the inside of aquarium glass panels or acrylic. Is this the beneficial bacteria or harmful bacteria? And how many of you go out of your way to wipe it off?

If it's thick enough to obscure viewing I wipe it off other wise nope

I use Magfloats on my tanks. Usually once a week I'll clean them

Yes, but that rarely happens. Its just a slime film on the inside really

X3 on the magfloat. I use it during water changes or when I need to make my tanks look pretty.

Hmmm I was told it was bacteria build up and it could contain either or both beneficial bacteria or harmful bacteria. So no reason to stress about wiping it off right?

My husband is always fidgeting with our magnetic cleaners and I have a rough sponge on a stick with different attachments I use when I do water changes.

You'll be fine, if anything it will eventually get sucked into the filters.
