With cichlids and more specific umbee eat potho roots? I'm thinking about setting up a pot of pothos ontop of my tank and having the roots in the water I'm 99% sure I'm getting an umbee will he nibble on the roots? Will he shred them? Can the potho plant roots harm the fish? Is there any real benefit other then looks?

Lowers nitrates and yes he may chew on them It depends on the fish other than that don't know too much about pothos as I can't get it to grow any in my tanks it stays the same size to me and never grows for me good luck hope someone else chimes in too
