Would the Aqueon Modular LED Aquarium Light be adequate for growing Dwarf Hair grass in my 75g tank?
I plan on using sand as a substrate and covering at least 60% of it with the Hair grass.

Thanks!

I've attempted to grow it using a similar LED in sand without any luck. It's not dying off, but growth is virtually non-existant.

Yea, my led unit that came with my evolve hasn't done much. I'm currently researching some new options.

I have the 48" Aqueon on my 72g bowfront and it is nothing special. I added one clormax to the standard tube it came with and at times I see little red spots where the LED's just dont blend well. I read somewhere that with all three LED tubes in the fixture it was still only adequate for low light plants. I think the T-5HO fixture your friend has would do better.
