Better later than not at all I think! Sometimes I bring in crazy stuff and never even get the chance to post corresponding pics or notice of particular import here.
That being the case, I suppose an announcement a week after arrival is definitely better than no mention at all.

Please note that I will be unavailable to correspond or process orders all of next week (Apr 5-12), so please keep that in mind when considering an order or if you have any questions.
In other words, shipments will be sent this week (first week of April) as usual, but then not again until after Apr 14th.

I'll post some highlight photos plus a few new shots taken of stock fish.
Price list for this week will appear below photos.

Definitely NOT your average marmorata pike!!

L600b.jpg

L600a.jpg

Once again, not the 'red fin sternella' or 'red fin cf. leopardus plecos' aka LDA07 and L114) typically seen from Brazil. These are the real L600 that are native to Guyana and the upper Rio Branco of Roraima state, Brazil - far north and east of aforementioned fish habitat. L600 grows significantly larger as well; to around 15-16"! That would be quite the show catfish indeed!

Couple other seldom seen fancy plecos received last week.

lacerdai1.jpg

Seldom imported from wild S. barbatus and very rarely imported S. lacerdai from southern Brazil locations.
Very cool 'Corydoras cats'!

dic.mac.jpg

Several Apistogramma species were received in limited quantity and quickly shipped out to specialty aquarists.
If interest continues, additional seldom imported dwarf cichlids may be also be available on upcoming shipments.

Checkerboard cichlids are still available for dwarf specialists.

Brazilian 'golden dorado' on hand at this time!

mesop.jpg

Pacú (Piaractus mesopotamicus).jpg

Here's one I have not seen imported to my knowledge - the 'yellow or gold belly pacu' of Rio Parana-Paraguay drainages. This species is known to grow to only half the size (to about 18") of the commonly encountered red or black pacu species.
Included for reference is photo of an adult.

kelb.ipat.jpg

Limited quantities are still available of wild collected kelberi from Ipatinga - a town located by Rio Piracicaba and Rio Doce in Minas Gerais state of eastern Brazil.

I took some pics of other fish last week as well.
In no particular order, here are some other goodies.

Crazy stuff - these platinum Honduran red points! Photo of adult male above. Juveniles in stock.

hrp.blush.jpg

hrp.blush1.jpg

Just for fun - I kept this not-your-average-colored Honduran red point after it was born and grown in my tanks. It was purplish in color when the rest of it's siblings were turning blue.
Yes, he'd gotten his tail chewed short by siblings while growing up - which explains the broken fin ray pattern in caudal. So he's not as assertive as the normal colored individuals. He's my pet and possible future breeder.

STOCK LIST FOR WEEK OF MARCH 31ST *

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO SHIPPING OR CORRESPONDENCES NEXT WEEK (APRIL 5-12)
PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN ORDERING YOUR FISH – THANKS!*
