Should I try and breed my male ZZ flowerhorn with one of my female dovii I have one dovii about his same size and one that is smaller they are both F1 female doviis I believe but I'm not too sure.after seeing no signs of male or female I am assuming they are female so should I even try or is it not worth the risk here is the FH male and here is the dovii believed female not too sure should I try and breed them and see? I agree. However you'll probably end up with one of them dead if you try.

Would they even acknowledge each other as a mate? Like will they recognize the fact they can breed because they are a different species?
