Since I have been so taken up by the aquarium hobby I decided it would be best to put this energy in my field of work so I decided to do my final year architecture thesis on designing a Oceanrium. I wanted some help in the following subjects:
1.What kind of filtration systems do large oceanariums use? Is it centralized?
2.What is more suitable open or closed loop?
3.Have provided space for all filtration systems in the basement. Is that fine?
4.Any ideas or links to the kind of machinery involved?
5.Had read somewhere that life support systems require 30% additional area of tanks is that figure correct?
6.Have tried to avoid as much as possible exposure to direct sunlight in my aquarium due to different requirements of various species and algae growth which makes maintenance difficult.
7. Incorporation of Aquaponic systems.
8.Any others things you think I should specifically consider?
