Bought this RR 125 locally and it needs to be resealed there isn't much silicone left in the front seams. The top brace looks to have been cut on opposite ends so I'm not sure if it needs to be replaced.

When resealing the tank I'm going to remove the overflows since new silicone doesn't bond to old silicone. My question is when installing the overflows again do I seal the tank then install them or do I install them while the silicone is still wet. I'm concerned about where the bottom of the overflow meets the bottom seem and having it not seal correctly. Any and all input is appreciated.

I'm going to start stripping the tank tonight. When I reseal it I'm still at a loss for the overflows. Do I press the bottom of the glass into the seam while it's wet or do I put it on top dry and fill in the gaps.

Also in regards to the top the split is the same on both sides equal length from end to split. Did old tanks come like this it was made in 1996.
