I am looking to upgrade to LED lighting. I love the look and shimmer of LEDs and am currently shopping around. What brands/models are you using or do you recommend? I am looking for a 72" light for my non-planted, 125g freshwater.

I've had beamswork, led spot lights and now I have current led+ and they are by far my favorite. You can use one 48" or go with 2 x 36" ones for total coverage.

Wow the current led + looks awesome. You think 48" would work for a 72" tank? Or would 2- 36"ers be the way to go

Depends on how bright you like your tank...if you are going for sa american look the one will do...if not go with two.

I had the two 36" single bright Beamswork on my 210g and always felt it was too dim. I think if I went with a hi lumen style I would have been happier. I do like the fact they have a 72" fixture, it is nice to not have to have multiple lights going, just a cleaner look.

I upgraded to the Satellite + myself and absolutely love it. I have two of the 36" ones on my tanks and it just lights it up perfectly. I like the full spectrum setting and the rose, both make the fish colors pop. The rest of it is gimmicky with the effects and remote.

I have two 48" double bright beamswork LED fixtures on one of my 8' tanks. I'm very pleased with it. Does white and blue light, or just blue. Great deal at 125 a pop IMO

Really like my 3 sat+ on my 225. Must got a buildmyled for my pressurized planted tank and absolutely love it, the also have models for fish only tanks. The buildmyled was pricey yet not absurd but the quality is very evident when you see it in person.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm leaning towards current led plus. Just debating (1) 48" or (2) 36" for my 72" 125g. I think I am gonna go 48" since I have no plants. I just wish they were programmable for day/night and such.
