Hey everyone,
Need some ideas for schooling fish and a catfish for a 180gal.

I am going to set up this tank to showcase my two EBJDs and a Platinum JD.

I would really like a tigrinus but I don't think its streamers would be OK with the Jack's and such.

But any ideas are welcome! Im looking forward to the suggestions:D

Rainbowfish are pretty and they look amazing in large schools. LOTS of options for catfish: a variety if doradids, larger auchenipterids, lots of different pimelodids, Icatulrids (specifically bullheads), larger synodontis, and lots of other fun cats. PM me if you want a gigantic list of possible catfish because I could rant on for days about how awesome of a fish they are! :)

That jaguar catfish is awesome! I read they do well in schools...so cool!:D 3 or 4 swimming around.

Do you think those would eat the rainbow fish?

This is the tank I ended up getting from cohazard. Its 6'x30"x2'tall. Stands almost 6ft tall on the stand.

So stoked!

I have found that the giant danios I got 4-5 months ago are great schoolers and almost always stay on the top layer of the tank. No other dithers I have kept have been as active and stayed on top like these guys have. The only downside is a very mellow/bland color.

Ii really like the irian red rainbow fish for my schooling fish. Way more color.

I can't find any jaguar catfish for sale, I really like their patterns and size is good. Trying to find another kind we like that gets no bigger than 10" but all the cool ones get huge!
