Got an old and heavy (thick glass) 75 with a glass center brace as well as a newer mirror backed 29 hex. The seams are clear but the sealing is white and peeling in spots on the 75.

Should I just reseal or rebuild the 75?
Which silicon is preferred for this? From my research ge 1 works for sealing but may not be ideal for a rebuild.

Also, how also how does rebuilding a hex aquarium differ from a rectangular setup?

On a side note I also got two new in box older model emperor 400s with flow adjusters which I'm more happy about than the tanks.

For me....I'd pass on trying to repair the tanks. Been there and not worth the head ache. You'll need silicone sealant MADE for aquariums. And you'll need to remove all of the old stuff. It CAN be done....

I saw online that Doctors Foster and Smith has tubes of aquarium silicone for caulking guns. It's not expensive.
