So my jardini's tail was bitten off about a month or maybe more ago. and its been slowly, and i mean slowly growing back. only 20% of the tail has grown back. My question for discussion is what is your method of regrowing or healing wounds quickly? My method so far is isolation, maintain water quality, meds until noticable regrowth. My jardini is a picky eater but finally eats pellets. should i be increasing the protein intake? and add insects more often? Pellets are nice but they seem to have alot of carbs. please list your methods and suggestions! :)

btw, 8-9 inch jardini is isolated in a 40 gallon... i would like to get this puppy out of the 40 but its not healing fast enough.

I usually throw in a little Melafix. Melafix is not really medicine, but rather I believe some sort of tea extract.....plus I enjoy the smell.

Is Melafix something you can pick up at my LFS? Confused since it was called a tea extract.

Melafix is very common, so you shouldn't have a problem finding it at lfs or chain stores

It's tea tree extract. Same stuff manuka honey is made from. Manuka honey is used in Australia for mrsa infections
