50 gallon tank ideas???

Hi, kinda new to this forum and I haven't really showed you what I have !! I have a 50 gallon with 2 striped Raphael catfish, a clown pleco and a firemouth. The firemouth is quite the wimp and is small so it kind of restricts what I put in with him. What I want is something else for the tank?? Like a lone cichlid or something. Then the tank is fully stocked. I was thinking Jack Dempsey but Im not sure if he will bully the firemouth??
