Just came in today, is my August 2013 hatch, Alligator Snapping Turtle. Picked him up from Loggerhead Acres. I can now say I've tried both "major" breeders, and both are excellent to deal with.

Lucky! Alligator snappers are amazing, wish they weren't illegal here.

Nice! Too bad about your last one. Sometimes hatchlings of many species have unfortunate accidents like that. Congratulations on this one. They really are spectacular.

Seems to be settling in quit nice. Of the 11 platys I put in there as feeders for him, we are down to 7. I don't know where he is putting them, as they are half his size almost.

I still need to get some sand to put at the bottom, so he can dig in and hide when he fishes, rather than perching up on his tip toes, sticking his neck out as far as possible (not far at all) and gaping his mouth open.
