what is the best background colour to bring out the colour of a silver arowana and green arowana

I was debating this as well.... I am setting up my new tank and couldn't decide. so I went to my LFS still not knowing which color. and what do I find???? the background is black on one side and blue on the other! score! still cycling and will be putting my silver in soon. I can let you know in a week. unless you find out sooner. (I went with black right now, we will see if I change my mind)

Maybe blue for you. I'm going bare bottom for now (it was either that of black sand) so I thought black would be best but aro isn't in the tank yet, is your light off ? Seems kind of dark

All my tank backgrounds are black, I think it makes the fish stand out way more... Only have done a blue once and it was for salt.
