Today i brought home a sixty gallon wide. Its currently cycling.I've always been a monster fish/oddball kinda fish keeper but I'm wanting to possibly go at my first community setup with some peaceful schooling fish of some sort. Just to try something new, my wife has been wanting a more colorful setup (with the blue gravel and marine decor, etc in a freshwater setup) and I've always been a more natural design kinda guy.. i figure its her turn lol.
Id also like to make this a breeding project, but where to start? I was thinking maybe guppies, mollies, or some other sort of live bearer? Could i mix (example) guppies and mollies both in the aquarium and be successful with breeding? Id add a good amount of floating plants and separate the fry of course.. how shpuld i start with this route?
And other suggestions would be awesome. We just want lots of colorful fish reproducing
