Can I get some info from anyone experienced with this fish?

1) How large do males get in an aquarium? I am reading on sites anything from 13"-18". This fish would end up in an 8' tank.

2) What size do you typically see males start to colour? I would most likely have to order a group of juvies and grow them out.

3) Have you kept more than 1 male in the same tank or are they killers to other males? Getting mixed info on this one.

Thanks.

4) Can this fish be kept with peacocks (males?). Read several places to not keep with mbuna and I wonder if that is because the mbuna will be eaten rather than the mbuna be too aggressive?

1. That's probably a good estimate
2. Should start coloring up around 6-8"
3. You can, but it depends on the temperament of the fish. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
4. Possibly, it goes back tot he attitude thing. Mbuna can be really aggressive, even to larger fish. Of course, in time, they would most likely be snacks if they are too slow.
