Found this while researching how to definitely ID as I'm on the hunt for a lacerdae, curupria or iguazu myself

I don't have the fish, it's just the pic the vendor has posted. He has it labeled as a "Colombian Wolf Fish". Aren't Malas very expensive? Anyways, I emailed the vendor for a scientific name, still waiting for his reply.
Mala are relatively cheap ime, it does seem they have been going around labeled as Colombian wolves. Only other wolf specie in Colombia to my knowledge is aimara which it surely is not. If they're local its usually about 30 to 40 USD for a 5 incher
Curupria doesn't exist in Colombia of we can trust that label, neither does lacerdae so I'd go with mala
