I'm thinking it has something to do with my 15" flagtail sucking at its slimecoat. I have placed it into a smaller tank and tonight ill be moving it to a 120 hospital tank by itself

Bumping this up for you Chizzle. I personally have never ran across this while keeping rays. Hopefully someone else can help. Good luck.

I remember when Keepin had that issue. Might want to talk to him and see what he did.

Wow! That's crazy think it could be a bacterial infection? I've never seen this. Is it feeding?

Thought it has been days not hours... So no feeding. What are your water parameters? I don't thino it was your flagtail. I'm not seeing any damage?

I have seen this many years ago. To me it looks like a retention of body fluids caused by internal bacteria (Dropsy). My guess is it probably won't get better but if it was me I would raise the temp to 28 deg C and add salt, nothing to lose, I have had some success with other fish by doing this.

Good luck!
