Howdy,

Albertan posted a nice plumbing job for his monster tank, and it inspired me for this 33gal L tank. Thanks, dude! That's the beauty of this forum. We keep inspiring each other.

I didn't even have to glue the PVC because it's all within the tank. No leaks possible. Besides, as you see, I used grey PVC rather than white because I think it blends in nicely. No need to spray paint.
Two large sponges, one powerhead, in on one end, out the other. 4 feet of current.

I've always thought that this was a cool idea. I need to try this in one of my pleco tanks. Perhaps that will inspire them to spawn.

Howdy,

I enjoy the long, shallow dimensions of the tank, went to a lower flow powerhead (110 gph) and even left enough headspace for my wolf not to bang his head against the canopy if he decides to jump (that's how I lost my previous wolf). He lives in a long shallow slow-flow grow-out tank, and enjoys the 4ft of swimming room against slight current.

He also enjoys the fact that the tank is hooked up to my drip system... pristine water despite small volume.

Very active and all over the place. Below wood, on top of the wood, behind plants, underneath plants, and some long-stretch free-swimming going on.
