URGENT help needed!!!!

Disaster struck. Got my brand new acrylic tank in today and it got chipped. The tank only fell about 4in. I have the chip and plan on getting some Weldon to put it Back. From what I can see, it did not break into the seam much at all. It was really just the pane. my main questions are, do you think it will be OK for now until I get the weldon to glue the chip back on? And, what Weldon should I use for such a thing?

Weldon 40 the full corner and seams. Tip and pour them. Don't fill it

do you think that i should put some doubblers in that corner for a few inches either way? i have access to some acryllic to fill that corner.

I wouldnt fill it as it is but as mentioned weld on 40 will glue the pieces back together and if you have some extra acrylic to fill the corner go for it. 100% fixable!

if the chip is clean and uniform, weldon should work well, I would use #4 apply with a small paint brush on the tank then press the chip in place and hold. do not worry about run off and do not whip it, it will dry damn near invisible. i use this all the time at work when making the award plaques for the casino. if there are bubles or parts not filled in tap the brush on the edges it will pull it in and fill it out.

do i need to sand the edges of the patch really smooth before i put it inside the tank. the outside chip is a clean chip and fits very well back were it came from. i dont see problem with putting it back. is weldon 40 or is #4 thicker?

if the chip is clean and uniform and fits back well where it came from do not sand, #4 thinner and what you want to use if the chip matched up will the break, its almost like water, brush on press the chip in, do not worry about run off it dries dries flat, never see it.

acrylic does not need to be ruffed up, It will etch and bond on its own.
