Picked up a group of these guys about 2 months ago and a few are starting to really shine. Here is a few pictures of the dominant pair. This male is the only fish that can be distinguished from the other 10. This pair should be spawning soon. Hope you enjoy.

Did they lay them between 5pm-7pm? Mine always did, and a behavioral study in the wild said they always spawn at this time in the wild too. Found it kind of neat.

All i know is it was between noon and 10pm. Fascinating fish to watch. Constantly shuffling their tiny fry from pit to pit. Do you keep yours with dwarf pikes? There are some regani available to me but it wasn't sure how they'd mesh.

Congrats. The parents look great. How big are they?
I would say the male is 3'' and the female around 2''. They really look good when the sun from the window hits the tank in late afternoon. They look like a rainbow.

Nice! My favorite species of Laetacara and yours are gorgeous. That male is awesome. Good luck with the spawn!

Gotta say these little guys are a breath of fresh air. Constantly seeing the same fish in the media lounge gets old. These are some beauties!

Not these guys as they were only in a 20 long. But I've kept their close cousins (L. dorsigera) with two different species of dwarf pikes, including compressiceps, and never had issues between them.
