Yesterday morning my XB panicked and managed to jump down the tiny space between the lid an glass that separates water from inlet pipe. First appearances were that he had a swim bladder problem, swimming at an angle, tail up. I changed the water, added salt, dimmed the light and luckily saw an improvment by the end of the day. This morning I've noticed two cuts, about 3mm each at the topan bottom of the tail where fin meets body. They are literally separating fin from body an I fear there is no way for them to heal when they cant be held in place and are constantly in use. I've changed water again, added salts, yellow powder and covered the tank with a sheet. Very worried and distressed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, James.

I had a jardini arowana that got injured so bad that his entire tail fin ripped off from his main body. It grew back w/ no issues

Just keep lights off & Lower ur water level to keep it calm. Lastly keep ur water clean

Thanks guys. Sorry for late reply. I ended up sedating him and cutting the tail off. It grew back quickly and he's doing great now.
