Its been a few years since i got to go do a offshore trip, finally i made it out on sunday. Plan was to go 30 miles and fill up on grouper's, snapper's,grunts and amberjacks, so i went out and bought a new reel rod combo the day before, a ariel star rod, with a fin nor offshore 7500 os. Waking up the next morning around 2am, i noticed the wind still was blowing pretty good from day before, ether way it was supposed to calm down a little. It never did, ended up only making it out 13 miles due to 20mph winds and 6 to 10 foot waves, luckily we didn't because at only 13 miles one of the engines started to overheat and shut down. It took us 3 1/2 miserable hours to get back to dock. Despite all the problems, we managed to catch a few fish. I was just happy to be out and fishing though, but wow it was a ruff day. Heres a few pics of what we got, not really the monsters we were planning for, also got few other fish, puffers, sharks, lizards, squirrels.

In the water
looks like you had a fun trip. I like fishing in the Gulf better than fishing in the Atlantic. Never had much luck in the Atlantic for some reason we always catch more in the Gulf.
