Hey guys I have a midas about 6inches? And a very small convict but I thought the midas would be more entertaining so some reason I do 2 WC every week and have to fluval 70s for filtration my water is 0 for both N and A is zero and ph is 7.6 I know kinda high but he just isn't very entertaining like I thought maybe after he matures he will become aggressive? Anybody know when that is thanks in advance

You could add some dithers for him to be aggressive towards if that is what you're looking for. Wet pets aren't for everyone.

Aggression towards owners varies, my midevil isn't psycho but it is inquisitive

Yea, each fish has its own personality.your fish is male? Some females are just as active.you could add some toys....ping pong ball, rubber worm...I have a dog chew toy in with my hybrid ( in the avatar)

Yes he's male
hmm, did you vent the fish? looks like a female from the angles, but none the less may just not be an overly aggressive fish. I've had a few midas over the past 10 years and some were actually quite passive...

As far as Cichlids go, Midas are pretty peaceful. My Midas is the only fish I own that doesn't rip the hair off of my arms while I'm cleaning his glass.
