Hi, it been a month since I bought the fish.
Its almost 13 inches golden hiback arowana.
I have been trying to feed him dryfood since long, but no use, It only eats live gold fish.
What should I do. I have tried making it fast for 2 days, but still he only eats dried food, and then again vomits it, after chewing for a while.
This way I have to clean the left of broken food too as it does not eat it.
Help needed guys.
Regards.

Try crickets so the aro stops going to the bottom of the tank for food, once he gets on track and starts eating up top, try raw shrimp, silverside and tilapia. If he's already that big, it's hard to brake old habits

Only two days of fasting? I wouldn't hesitate to go two weeks! Start offering Hikari Carni Sticks after a week. Don''t offer live food until at least two weeks have passed without eating. If necessary, fatten back up for a week and start over, going 3 weeks. I have had fish go without food for over a month to train them to eat dry food.

Thanks guys,
By today afternoon, it ate the remaining gold fishes.
So, we can say its day one of fasting.
lets see how it holds starving.

I have hikari arowana sticks too, always been trying those.
But, lets see after 2-3 days starving.
I personally, feel bad to starve my fish.I'm very much attached to my Arowana (I have named him name is Jowisz)

^ dont give up. I felt bad too and it just prolonged it. Had to try 3 times, but now i just feed raw shrimp and straight up market fish. My jar will go through a large bag of hikari carnivore in about two weeks which is just crazy expensive.

I would feel worse risking giving my fish diseases by feeding him feeders. Feeding feeders only is like letting your kid eat mcdonalds every day. If jowisz doesn't want to eat his veggies (pellets), stay strong- say to him "if you're not going to eat your healthy foods you won't eat!"
