My LFS has a really nice Jardini that they want 300.00 for. The fish is about 12-14" and beautiful but 300.00? I know it's hard to put a price tag on it without a picture but on the average how much does a nice looking healthy Jardini go for? I live in Oregon if that matters. Thanks in advance.

My area people are giving out jars that are +12 inch jardini's. They're a bit too aggressive for their set ups I suppose. But I see them sell for around a 100. I did however buy mine for 70 at 3-4 inches so I think 300's a bit too much in my area as they sell for 100 all day long at 12 inches.

Arowanas will grow to 12" rather quickly. $300 for a 12" Jardini is high imo but it all depends on availability and if you need instant gratification. $200 imo. You can get a black aro at that size for $300.

$200 max but when you really like a fish you will overpay. Thats just how it is i think with every serious fish keeper. I say get it if you really like it.

Theres a big price difference between a private seller and lfs but just for example...I bought one of my first aros, a flawless 12" Jardini for $50 from a private seller. Raised on hikari foodsticks.

Thank you guys for the feedback. I did a search and it seemed high. I even looked at AquaBid. We are doing some trading so maybe they hiked the price up a bit?

Mine sold for $200, but he was 22".

I didn't really want to sell him, but I had to tear down the tank and that was the offer on the table.

in florida a lfs would try to sell it for that price but they would be holding on to the fish for awhile, throw the lfs some offers if your wanting to buy the fish

Doubt many people will pay $300 for a jardini now a days. So take pharaoh's advice and make an offer. The lfs will likely settle. what's the name of the lfs. I'm looking into buying some good fish/oddballs but not the jardini, ;).
