Setting up a new 30 gal breeder to move my lungfish into, and decided i don't want to use traditional gravel or sand to bottom the tank.

I thought of maybe sealing in some nice looking artificial grass to the bottom might look cool, but worried about that for the sake of the lung.

Would this work?

Any ideas on something new/cool to bottom the tank with?

One time saw a tank with coated bullet shells for substrate. Couldnt imagine keeping it clean and I wouldnt risk the metal leaching but iirc they were plated with something and foolishly expensive but did look pretty unique

larger rocks look really nice but they do trap a lot of crap under them, but I personally love the look
